Goal 2: Zero Hunger

Sustainable Development Goals

Clear Neutral is committed to supporting the United Nations' 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) through our carbon offset initiatives and our work in the lab grown diamond industry. These goals, established in 2015, guide nations towards achieving a better and more sustainable future by 2030.

Zero Hunger aims to end hunger, achieve food security, improve nutrition, and promote sustainable agriculture. It recognises that access to safe, nutritious, and sufficient food is a fundamental human right.

This goal addresses the challenges of food insecurity and malnutrition, which affect millions of people worldwide, particularly in low-income and developing countries. The goal emphasises the need to increase agricultural productivity, promote sustainable and resilient farming practices, and enhance the capacity of small-scale farmers. It also calls for investment in rural infrastructure, research, and technology to improve agricultural productivity and reduce post-harvest losses.

Goal 2 aims to ensure that all individuals, especially the most vulnerable populations, have access to nutritious food throughout the year. It also emphasises the importance of addressing the underlying causes of hunger, including poverty, inequality, conflicts, and climate change. By achieving this goal, societies can not only eradicate hunger but also improve overall health, break the cycle of poverty, and foster sustainable development for present and future generations.
